Have the adventure of a lifetime sailing and exploring coral reefs in the dazzling Abaco islands of the Bahamas while living aboard and learning to participate in running a 44-ft. sailing yacht.

Join Us!
Our College and Youth Sailing Adventure in the Bahamas is a 6-day (5-night) live-aboard learning adventure for student and youth groups. Your group of 6-8 (or 12-16 on two boats) will live aboard the sailboat as part of the crew alongside the captain and mate. As members of the crew, the group will take part in sailing the boat, navigation, preparing meals and other activities needed to run the boat. Don’t worry, no experience is necessary – the captains will show you everything you need to know.

Requirements for Participation
No experience necessary. This is a hands-on experience—we will teach you the basics and you can go from there. Try your hand at hoisting and trimming the sails, steering the boat and navigating from island to island. You will also learn about meal preparation and everything else it takes to live and travel in a group aboard a sailboat.
College groups: Each participant must be at least 18 years old
Boy scouts, venture crew and other youth and teen groups: Each participant must be at least 14 years old. Youth groups must be accompanied by 1 or 2 adults.
- This is a physically demanding program and you must be in good physical condition and health.
- You will need to have good swimming skills and comfort swimming in an ocean (saltwater) environment.
- You will need to be able to get on and off the boat from the water using a fairly narrow swim ladder and be able to get in and out of the inflatable dinghy from the water and from the boat. This means you should not be excessively overweight.
